Owen Dwyer, Partner
Owen has worked in the Financial Services Industry since 1985.
He started Irish Pensions and Finance (formerly Personal and Corporate) in 1993 and built up the company with partner David Dunleavy who retired in 2016.
As well as holding a First Class Honours Degree in European Humanities from the Open University, Owen is an award winning short story writer. He is married, has five children and lives in Saggart.
Claire Hanrahan, Partner
Claire Hanrahan has 16 years’ experience working in financial services, joining IPF in 2005. She is a Qualified Financial Advisor and manages a team of QFA’s within the company. She became a partner in IPF in 2016.
Claire holds a BA in Business, French & Spanish as well as an MBS in Marketing.
Helping customers achieve their retirement objectives is the most enjoyable part of Claire’s job.
Claire is married with two young children.
Carol Crahan, Compliance and Office Manager
Carol joined Irish Pensions & Finance in 2004 as an administrator. She has been promoted during her 12 years with IPF to Compliance Officer and subsequently, in January 2016, became the Compliance & Office Manager.
Carol has a BA (Hons) Business Studies from Dublin Business School which she obtained in 2001. She has also completed her Certificate and Diploma in Compliance with the Institute of Bankers.
As the Compliance Manager with Irish Pensions & Finance, Carol prides herself on her attention to detail and level of service our clients receive.
Carol has an interest in music, walking and spending time with her family.
Blaithin Finn, Finance Manager
Blaithin has been working with Irish Pensions & Finance since 2008.
She became Finance Manager for the company in 2013.
She is currently studying Finance Management in Griffith College in her spare time.
Blaithin lives in county Meath with her husband and daughter.
Sarah Connolly, Marketing Manager
Sarah Connolly has worked with IPF since 2008.
Having graduated from DIT with a Bachelor of Arts degree, she began with the company as a member of the Administration team.
With the completion of her QFA exams and the experience gained in working on different projects within the company, Sarah transitioned to the Marketing Department in 2014.
In this time, she has worked on various successful promotions and events for IPF clients, including the planning of our ever-popular Retirement Planning Seminars and the ongoing development of our Pension Calculator App ’64’.
Alan Caffrey, Area Manager
Alan is a Sales Manager for the Company. He is focused on developing the junior members of the Company and also managing a team of 10 Financial Advisors. He joined IPF in 2013 and has served in a variety of roles including Retention Officer and Financial Advisor.
Alan has more than 30 years’ experience in the Financial Services Industry and was 21 years with Irish life as a brokerage inspector. He is a member of the LIA since 1983. In his spare time, he enjoys time with his family, socialising golfing, and walking.
Neil McGroarty, Area Manager and Senior Financial Advisor
Neil has more than 12 years of experience in Financial Services. He joined IPF in 2012 and has served in a variety of roles including Telemarketer, Assistant Financial Advisor, Product Specialist, Loans Advisor and Customer Advisor.
Neil is an Area Manager and a Senior Financial Advisor. He is focused on developing new relationships with our prospective clients, looking after our existing clients and managing a team of financial advisors.
Neil is a fully Qualified Financial Advisor and Approved Product Advisor. In his spare time, he enjoys time with his family, golfing, swimming, and hiking.
Louise O’Brien, Telemarketing Manager
Louise O’Brien started in Irish Pensions and Finance in April 2006 as a Telemarketer.
Since then, through hard work and dedication to Irish Pensions & Finance, she became manager of the Telemarketing team in February 2016 and is managing a team of 8.
Louise is currently studying for a Diploma in Management and Leadership.
Colin Whelan, Area Manager and Senior Financial Advisor
Since joining IPF in June 2014 Colin has come through the ranks to become an Area Manager & Senior Financial Planner. Colin first entered the industry in 2007 via Zurich Life after attaining an honours degree in Business Studies. Since then he has completed multiple exams in the Financial Services area which have led to the following designations – Qualified Financial Advisor, Retirement Planning Advisor & Specialist Investment Advisor. Colin has also just completed his Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning and is due to complete his final exam to become a recognised Certified Financial Planner, shortly. He also hopes to finish out his Masters in Financial Services.
Colin’s role involves bringing through the next generation of IPF advisors as well as developing & maintaining relationships with existing and prospective stakeholders. It is a role that Colin enjoys greatly.
Colin is a sports fanatic! When he gets the chance he plays as many sports as he can put his hand to. Some not so well, but it’s the taking part that he loves.
